Odia student gang-rape in West Bengal: Four arrested

Bhubaneswar (12/10/2025): The number of arrests in the Odia medical girl student gang-rape case in West Bengal increased to four.

Durgapur police arrested the accused.

One accused is still absconding in the incident. The arrest was made after 36 hours of the crime. The girl from Jaleswar in Balasore district was studying II-year MBBS in a private medical college at Shobhapur in Durgapur area in West Bengal was reportedly raped on Friday night.

The girl and his boyfriend were moving outside the college campus when she was allegedly taken to a nearby forest and sexually assaulted there.
