Atigaon–Tel River Bridge Road turns death trap: Locals demand immediate action by authorities

Kalahandi(11/10/2025): The Atigaon–Tel River Bridge road, a crucial route connecting Junagarh and Golamunda blocks in Kalahandi district, has deteriorated into a dangerous stretch, sparking widespread concern among locals and civic activists. The 1.5 km stretch, barely 30 feet wide, has become muddy, potholed, and waterlogged, making daily travel perilous for school buses, ambulances, and two-wheelers.

Locals allege that despite repeated complaints, no proper maintenance has been carried out for years, leaving thousands of villagers, farmers, students, and patients struggling to commute safely.
