XIM University’s School of Economics hosts flagship event 'Presentonomica 2025'

Bhubaneswar(10/10/2025 ): The School of Economics, XIM University, successfully organized its flagship event Presentonomica on October 9, 2025, at the University’s New Campus.
The event brought together students from across institutions to deliberate on pertinent social and economic issues through research-based presentations and critical discussions. The session was graced by Dr.Amarendra Das, Associate Professor at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, who served as the Guest Speaker.
Dr.Das shared his insights on the evolving economic landscape of India and the role of academic inquiry in shaping informed public policy.
His address inspired participants to think critically about contemporary economic challenges and the responsibilities of future economists. The panel of judges comprised Dr.Tiyali Bose, Assistant Professor, Urban Management and Governance, XIM University; Dr.Mansi Bera, Assistant Professor, XIM University; and Dr.Sayoree Gooptu, Assistant Professor, XIM University.
Their thoughtful feedback and encouragement added great value to the event, guiding participants toward a deeper understanding of applied economics and policy perspectives. This year’s Presentonomica witnessed enthusiastic participation from 21 teams representing various colleges, each bringing forward well-researched presentations on topics such as the H-1B Visa policy, the impact of government-sponsored programs, and other socio-economic concerns of national and global relevance.
The event fostered an environment of intellectual exchange, analytical thinking, and academic collaboration. Organized as a student-led initiative, Presentonomica 2025 stood as a testament to the organizational capabilities and academic enthusiasm of the students of the School of Economics.
Their dedication ensured the smooth conduct and success of the event, reflecting the University’s commitment to experiential learning and student-driven scholarship. The event concluded with closing remarks from the faculty, who commended the participants for their insightful contributions and expressed optimism about the continuing success of Presentonomica as a platform for academic excellence and dialogue.
