Poacher arrested for possessing wildlife articles at home

Karanjia(16/09/2025): A poacher was arrested for keeping wildlife articles at his home. The accused has been identified as Kunj Saye from Keshadiha village under Mahuldiha block in Mayurbhanj district. From his house, forest officials seized deer antlers, a hornbill beak, a bow, arrows, and traps. He was reportedly caught after entering Compartment 12 of the Thakurmunda Wildlife Sanctuary area. The Forest Department has produced the accused before the Baripada court.
