Odisha CM participates in Chhath Puja

Bhubaneswar(28/10/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his wife participated in the Chhath Puja celebrations on Tuesday. Thousands of women devotees took part in the grand procession and offered prayers to the Sun God as part of the Chhath rituals at Kuakhai river ghat on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that mothers and sisters observe fasts and offer prayers for the well-being of their families and society.

He added that the government has always respected and supported religious and social festivals. The Chief Minister further stated that the government’s goal is to build a prosperous and developed Odisha.
