Stray dog census begins in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(18/09/2025): The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday launched the stray dog census. The census will be conducted across all 67 wards of Bhubaneswar between September 18 and 25. It will be carried out in two phases in each lane using scientific methods. The first phase will be from September 18 to 20. The second phase from September 21 to 24. A total of 410 teams have been deployed across the streets of Bhubaneswar to carry out the census. Under the supervision of expert veterinarians, Swachh Sathis, Swachh Supervisors, and Sanitary Inspectors are playing major roles in executing the task.
