Odisha DGP reviews traffic & parking arrangements in Puri

Puri(06/07/2025): Odisha DGP YB Khurania on Sunday reviewed the traffic and parking arrangements put in place in Puri town for the Suna Besha of Lord Jagannath. The DGP advised the people coming to Puri to adhere to the guidelines issued by police.

He directed the police officers to place special emphasis on safety of devotees. Bulk messaging in Odia and English languages are being sent to the mobile numbers of the people in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and nearby areas to keep them updated about the traffic and parking advisories. In view of the influx of crowd, the Puri Police has made elaborate security arrangements for smooth conduct of Suna Besha darshan. The parking spaces in the city are almost full.

Devotees are advised to plan accordingly.

Vehicles are being diverted towards Talabania and Sterling Road. Devotees are experiencing longer waiting times at Batagaon/Malatipatpur The Suna Besha will take place from 5 PM to 11 PM.
