Lord Jagannath, his siblings to adorn golden attire; Odisha Police issues advisory

Puri(06/07/2025): Lakhs of devotees thronged Puri to have darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings in golden attire (Suna Besha) atop their respective chariots on Sunday.

The holy Trinity will wear quintals of gold ornaments fitted with pearls today.

The deities will be decorated with 138 varities of gold ornaments during Suna Besha. In view of the influx of crowd, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has made elaborate security arrangements for smooth conduct of Suna Besha darshan. The Suna Besha will take place from 5 PM to 11 PM.

The parking spaces in the city are likely to be filled.

Parking spaces are available, but devotees are advised to plan accordingly.

Vehicles will be diverted towards Talabania and Sterling Road. Devotees may experience longer waiting times at Batagaon/Malatipatpur, an advisory issued by the Odisha Police stated.
