
TPSODL Inaugurates New Customer Relation Centre in Malkangiri
Berhampur(04/07/2025): As part of its continued efforts to make electricity services more accessible and consumer-friendly, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has inaugurated a new Customer Relation Centre (CRC) in Malkangiri ā a district known for its rich tribal heritage, scenic landscape, and unique geographic character. The CRC was formally inaugurated by Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, in the presence of senior officials of the company.The new centre is envisioned as a vital bridge between consumers and services, aimed at strengthening outreach in one of the stateās most distinct and culturally vibrant regions. Malkangiri district, predominantly inhabited by tribal communities, has its own set of challenges due to its hilly terrain and distant locations.Understanding these realities, TPSODL has set up a centrally located CRC in Malkangiri district headquarter, equipped with billing counters, grievance redressal counters, and all basic amenities to ensure a smooth, and respectful service experience for the people. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, shared during the inauguration:āMalkangiri is a district rich in identity and culture.Our objective is to bring services closer to people in a manner that respects their way of life.This CRC is our way of reaching out meaningfully ā ensuring that every consumer, no matter how far, feels heard, supported, and empowered.ā The new CRC will benefit over 1.16 lakh consumers spread across approximately 5,700 sq.km, including key locations such as Balimela, Kalimela, Mathili, and Motu near the inter-state borders. This is the seventh CRC launched by TPSODL, following others in Berhampur (all women), Rayagada, Paralakhemundi, Jeypore, Aska, and Hinjilicut.Each centre plays a vital role in TPSODLās mission to offer inclusive, community-focused power services across Southern Odisha.
