Two hotels sealed in Cuttack amid cholera scare

Cuttack (17/06/2025): The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) officials on Tuesday sealed two hotels near Cuttack Railway Station for allegedly operating in unhygenic conditions.
The water used for cooking and cleaning purposes failed to meet the basic standards.
In addition, stale food items were found in these establishments. The raids were conducted by the CMC and Food Safety officials as part of their effort to prevent transmission of diarrhoea and cholera during the rainy season. The quality of water and food were inspected at several eateries and food stalls near the station. Food samples were seized for laboratory tests.
