Odisha CM enhances ex-gratia for deaths due to wild animal attacks

Bhubaneswar (09/06/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday enhanced the ex-gratia for deaths due to wild animal attacks. The amount has been increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The Chief Minister announced an additional compensation for house, cattle shed, kitchen, and paddy storage damages.Up to Rs 25,000 aid for compound wall damage per metre will be provided. The decision aimed at helping the forest-adjacent villages.
