Dr. Narayan Mohapatra honoured with Srijagannath Sanskriti Suraksha Samman - 2025

Bhubaneswar(08/06/2025): Dr.Narayan Mohapatra was honoured with the prestigious Srijagannath Sanskriti Suraksha Samman - 2025 by the Srijagannath Bhakta Samaj, Puri. The award was conferred on Dr.Mohapatra for his remarkable contributions to the promotion and preservation of Srijagannath culture.
The award was presented during the organisation's second anniversary celebration held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sri Sadasiba campus, near Mochi Sahi, Puri. The event featured various performances, including traditional Odissi music and dance, and the presentation of awards to other notable individuals for their contributions to different fields related to Srijagannath culture.
In the beginning, traditional bhajans were presented by Bharati Bhusan Patnaik, Swarnalata Pani, Puspalata Routray, K Laxmi Narayan, Dibyaranjan Patnaik and Dillip Patnaik. Students of Vanishree Sangita Academy performed Dasabatara Stotra. The welcome address was given by Ramaballav Mohapatra.
Secretary of the organisation Dr.Sashi Bhusan Rath read out the annual report. Pujya Baba Brajabandhu Das from Bhagabat Ashram spoke about Lord Jagannath. Swami Krushna Premananda Saraswati, Mahanta Bansidhar Goswami and Jayanta Sadangi graced the event as guests of honour. On the occasion, Prof.Purnachandra Patnaik was conferred with Srijagannath Seva Samman.
Saumendra Priyadarshi received Srijagannath Arakhi Samman, while Swami Krushna Premananda Saraswati was honoured with Srijagannath Katha Seva Samman.
Similarly, Debendra Nath Tarai received the Srijagannath Chikitsa Samman. Lastly, Dr.Balaram Das proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was managed by Dr.Pradip Kumar Acharya. The ceremony concluded with a mahaprasad distribution .
