'Only Puri can be called as Shree Jagannath Dham'

OdishaRay
Bhubaneswar(09/05/2025): There is only one sacred site (Dham) in the world, and that is Puri's Shree Jagannath Dham. According to the four Vedas and four ages, there are four sacred sites, but constructing new temples cannot create new sacred sites.
Puri is the only place known as Shree Jagannath Dham. Unfortunately, some of the temple's servitors (sevayats), who are respected and established in society as servants of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, are not willing to follow discipline.
We Odias love our Mahaprabhu dearly.
Neglect towards Mahaprabhu is unacceptable for the people of Odisha, whose lives, homes, and joys are intertwined with Mahaprabhu.
Some sevayats, who have had the opportunity to serve Mahaprabhu and protect him like their own shadow, have come forward to establish Mahaprabhu's reputation. It seems that either they have become complacent due to their long service or have developed a sense of disillusionment, leading them to seek more authority and come forward to establish Mahaprabhu's reputation while refusing to follow discipline, as stated by the Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansthan. Those respected sevayats who opposed this and did not participate will forever remain in the hearts of the people of Odisha. The Digha Jagannath Temple may be a tourist destination, but there is only one Jagannath Dham, and that is Puri.
While there can be many Jagannath temples in the world, there is only one Jagannath Dham.
No other place can be called a Dham. The Sansthan appeals to the revered sevayats and devotees who have had the opportunity to serve Mahaprabhu to bow down and request them not to engage in such activities and to increase their love for the Lord.
We Odias love our Mahaprabhu dearly. This was stated by Dr.
Narayan Mohapatra, President; Umanath Mishra, Secretary; Trilochan Nayak, Suresh Mishra, Bansidhar Nayak, Bharati Bhushan Patnaik, Akshay Sahu, Pranab Parija, Srinivas Rao, Bhagaban Dash, and Prashant Patra, among others.
