Renowned author & Indian Revenue Service officer Paramita Satpathy Tripathy assumes position of new Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax

Bhubaneswar(16/04/2025): Renowned author, novelist, and Indian Revenue Service officer Paramita Satpathy Tripathy has assumed the position of the new Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha. Paramita took charge of this significant responsibility on Wednesday, April 16. She is a 1989 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service. Earlier, she had served in various positions in the Income Tax Department of Odisha, and also held the post of Director of Finance at Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited (OPGC) for six years. She shares, "I will prioritize the convenience of taxpayers in the state." Paramita Satpathy Tripathy has made a name for herself both in Odisha and across the country.She received the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006, the Central Sahitya Akademi Award in 2016, and the Sarala Award in 2021, along with several other honours. After assuming the role of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, she has affirmed her commitment to prioritizing the convenience of taxpayers in the state .
