17th Annual Athletic Meet held at BJEMS-II

Bhubaneswar( 06/12/2024): Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium Schools (BJEMS)-II, located at Satyabhamapur, hosted its 17th Annual Athletic Meet "Juego" from December 4 to 6 amidst great excitement and cheers on the school premises.
The grand inauguration took place on December 4, with Dr.Ashwini Kumar Tiwari, Vice Chairman of BJ.Education Society, as the Chief Guest.
He was joined by Pratap Kumar Jena, Manager, Alka Mohanty, Principal, Dr.Manoranjan Bej, Vice-Principal, and other esteemed members of the School Management Committee.
The Principal extended a warm welcome to the gathering, followed by addresses from the dignitaries.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial torch, symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship.
The day's events began with a thrilling relay race and a spectacular march-past performed by the school's four elemental houses, accompanied by stirring marching music from the school band.
The students displayed great enthusiasm and skill as they competed in various track and field events.
The valedictory ceremony, held on 6 December, was presided over by Shihan Hari Prasad Pattanayak, General Secretary of the Odisha State Karate Association and Vice President of the Karate Association of India, as the Chief Guest.
He gave away the prizes to the winners and inspired the students to strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives.
Fire House emerged victorious as the House Champion, earning the prestigious trophy for their outstanding performance throughout the meet.
Students who achieved excellence in sports were awarded accolades, and their dedication was applauded.
The event also honoured the school's Physical Education Teachers-- Shyamsundar Sahoo, Anasuya Moharana,Ajoy Sarkar, Nilima Mohanty, and Basanta Kumar Pradhan--for their tireless efforts and contributions to the success of the meet.
Audiences were treated to captivating performances and applauded the seamless execution of the event.
