Alert helicopter pilot averts possible bird hit during preparation for Navy Day celebrations

Puri (30/11/2024): A possible bird hit was averted on Saturday due to the presence of mind of a pilot during the rehearsals ahead of the spectacular Operational Demonstration for Navy Day celebrations to be held at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri on December 4. The Navy Day celebrations is being held for the first time in Puri.It was during the special formation display involving five choppers that a bird from nowhere was seen flying towards one of the helicopters. Immediately, the pilot moved his helicopter to a different position without obstructing the way of other helicopters.
