57-ft tall Ganesh idol main attraction at Badagada Ganesh Mahotsav

Bhubneswar (01/09/2024): The Bright Star Youth Association is gearing up to organise the 7-day Ganesh Mahotsav 2024 from September 7 with great zeal and enthusiasm. In a press conference held on Sunday, Association Secretary Sangram Martha said, "The main attraction of this year's Ganesh Mahotsav in Badagada will be a 57-ft tall Ganesh idol in the style of Lalbagh, Maharashtra, and a 12-ft tall mouse.The idol will be worshiped for 7 days.Another attraction of the puja will be a 10 kg silver foot of Lord Ganesh (Paduka)." The idol is being built by artisans and will be decorated with natural colours.A Titanic-style light gate will also be installed.Every evening, Khichdi Prasad will be distributed to devotees. The puja mandap will be decorated with a German hangar shed and a mini pagoda.The entire area from the puja mandap to Kalpana Chhak will be decorated with colourful lights. For the convenience of divyang and senior citizens, wheelchair facilities will be available for their hassle-free visit to the puja mandap. This apart, various cultural programmes will be organized under the direct supervision of Committee Secretary Sangram Martha.Ollywood stars like Archana Padhi, Ira Mohanty, Kuldeep Pattanayak, Nabhyaa, Durga, Tariq Aziz, Ankit Patra, Mantu Chhuria, and others will present their performances." .
