ICSI's Eastern India Regional Council hosts Inaugural Regional Technology Summit in Kolkata

Kolkata(30/07/2024): The Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) proudly announces the successful completion of the 1st Regional Technology Summit, held on July 26 and 27, 2024, at the ICSI CCGRT Kolkata Campus.
The summit, themed "Abalokan– Reflection of Future Professional," served as a crucial platform for exploring the transformative effects of technology on professional practices. The summit attracted nearly 1000 participants, including ICSI members, students, educators, and professionals from various disciplines, making it a notable milestone for the EIRC.
The event was executed with exceptional organization and management, reflecting its significance in enhancing knowledge and elevating the institute’s brand presence. CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw, Chairman of EIRC, highlighted the essential role of technology and AI tools in boosting productivity during his welcome address.
Arijit Hazra, also known as "The Roboman of Kolkata," shared his journey from initial rejections to entrepreneurial success.Dr.Suman Kumar Dawn from EIILM emphasized the importance of integrating technology into daily professional practices.
Vibha Puri along with Sanya Roy from Mahatattwa presented on Gmail and Google Spaces, demonstrating their effectiveness in communication management.
CS Rupanjana De, Council Member, ICSI encouraged professionals to embrace technology for increased efficiency and quality in their work.
CS Anuj Saraswat, Vice Chairman, EIRC discussed the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its implications through significant Supreme Court decisions.
Vivek Patwari illustrated practical applications of AI in of different platform, emphasizing enhanced productivity.
Surya Narayan Mishra explored the impact of AI on Intellectual Property Rights and discussed relevant case laws. The summit not only provided valuable insights and practical knowledge but also set a high benchmark for future events, contributing significantly to professional development.
