Odisha Cabinet approves five proposals

Bhubaneswar (10/07/2024): The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi approved five proposals on Wednesday. The minimum wage of unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled & highly skilled workers have been enhanced to Rs 450, Rs 500, Rs 550 & Rs 600, respectively The Cabinet approved Odia Asmita Corpus Fund of Rs 200 crore. As per decision, Asmita Bhavan, Palm Leaf Manuscript Museum, Odia Translation Akademi, e-library and Odia chair at national and international universities will be set up in the state. This apart, defunct lift irrigation projects will be made operational.
An amount of Rs 1044 crore will be spent in 5 years for this purpose. Besides, 6 lakh more farmers to be included in PM-Kisan. The Chief Minister said, "Steps will be taken for providing international status to Bali Jatra and financial assistance for training in Odissi music and dance.".
