Several Odisha districts to receive heavy rainfall

Bhubaneswar (09/07/2024): The cyclonic circulation over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and the adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off the north Andhra Pradesh coast has become less marked.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm activities in the next couple of days. Similarly, some districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall activities during the weekend.Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 10.07.2024)-Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.07.2024)-Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar. Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 14.07.2024)- Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal.
