Monsoon covers most parts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar(21/06/2024): The southwest monsoon has covered most parts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the agency's graph for this year's progress of southwest monsoon in the country showed that the monsoon has advanced into parts of the state, except some regions of north Odisha. Conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon in Odisha during the next 3-4 days, the agency said. The IMD states that the monsoon has further advanced into some parts of Maharashtra, remaining parts of Vidarbha, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Chattisgarh & Odisha, some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and some parts of Jharkhand.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat State, remaining parts of Maharashtra, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 3-4 days. Several parts of the state are expected to witness fall in maximum temperature (day temperature) by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next two days.
