Five dead, over 25 injured as passenger train collides with goods train in Bengal

Kolkata (17/06/2024): Several people were feared dead and injured after two rear compartments of the Sealdah-bound Kanchanjunga Express derailed after a goods train collided with it.The incident took place near New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal on Monday. According to information, five passengers have lost their lives and more than 25 others sustained injuries. Rescue operations are underway.Disaster teams, doctors and ambulances have been rushed to the site. Helpline numbers 03323508794 and 03323833326 have been released.
