Respite from heatwave conditions in Odisha from May 5

Bhubaneswar (02/05/2024): Day temperature in Odisha is likely to fall by 4-6 degrees Celsius after the next four days.
According to Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty, coastal areas in the state experienced a drop in temperature by 2-4 degrees due to rain and thunderstorm that lashed several places in the state yesterday.
Rainfall activities are likely to continue coastal, south and north Odisha for the next seven days.
However, temperature may rise to 43-44 degrees Celsius in interior parts of the state in the next 24 hours. Mohanty said, "Rain, thunderstorm and lightning may occur all over the state from May 5, leading to a fall in temperature by 4-6 degrees Celsius.".
