Students of Rama Devi Women's University stage protest demanding postponement of examination

Bhubaneswar (26/04/2024): Hundreds of students of the Rama Devi Women's University in Bhubaneswar staged a massive protest demanding postponement of Plus III second year.

examination.

The exam is scheduled to be held from April 30 to May 18. The agitating students staged demonstration in front of the main gate of the University and said that normal life has been thrown out of gear due to the severe heatwave conditions prevailing in Odisha.

Under such condition, it has become difficult for us to appear the exam as there are problems relating to transportation and proper ventilation in hostels.

The state government has already announced closure of schools.

This apart, the authorities of Utkal University and Sambalpur University have also postponed their scheduled examinations due to intense heatwave conditions.

So, our exam should immediately be postponed, said a student.
