Organizations dedicated to advocating for rights & well-being of marginalized communities express gratitude to Odisha CM for enhancing monthly pension amount under Madhu Babu Pension Yojana
Bhubaneswar(10/02/2024): The Ana Sangathita Shramik Manch (ASM), Centre for Child & Women Development (CCWD), and ActionAid Association (India) are non-profit organizations dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized communities in Odisha, expressed their gratitude to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and V.K.Pandian, Chairman of 5T and Naveen Odisha, for their compassionate decision to enhance the monthly pension amount under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY).
In a recent announcement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik declared an increase in the monthly pension amount provided by the state's own social security scheme, MBPY, by Rs 500.
This revision will benefit thousands of beneficiaries, who will now receive increased monthly pensions ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,400.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and V.K.Pandian for their commitment to the welfare of the people of Odisha, remarked Manas Ranjan Pradhan, Sadashiv Swain and Debabrat Patra for ASM, CCWD, and ActionAid.
This enhancement in pension will alleviate financial burdens and improve the quality of life for numerous vulnerable individuals across the state.
The increase in the pension amount, coupled with the recent expansion of beneficiaries, reflects the government's dedication to supporting various segments of society, including senior citizens, widows, disabled individuals, and other vulnerable groups.
The revised pension amounts will be disbursed from this February, bringing much-needed relief to beneficiaries across Odisha.
