6th Evening of 34th PECUC Sisumela: Children shine in spectacular fancy dress

Bhubaneswar(19/11/2023): The 6th evening of the 34th PECUC Sisumela brought forth the enthralling Fancy Dress Competition, featuring the charming children as the main highlight of the evening.

Adorned in delightful fancy attire, their presence and laughter enchanted the audience, creating a captivating spectacle.

Beyond their charming displays, these young participants also delivered powerful messages advocating environmental protection, highlighting the harmful effects of plastic and promoting the importance of a clean, sustainable environment and on various social issues.

Bandita Das, Sumitra Tripathy, Usharani Behera, Madhumita Das, Nalini Pradhan were in the judge of the Competition.

They selected the winner as well as inspired the children with their talks.

19th Nov is also observed as World Day for prevention of Child Abuse and through the awareness messages children also highlighted the importance if this day.

The guests of the evening were Pradeep Kumar Biswal, IAS, Retd.and Odia Cine Artist Samarpita Das and Debarchan Mishra, Artist.

Their heartfelt appreciation was extended to PECUC for its remarkable efforts in offering a platform that allows children to showcase their inherent talents.

The commitment of the organization is to providing a nurturing and inclusive space was widely acknowledged and warmly embraced by all.

The winners of the Modern Dance and Odissi Dance Competition received the prize on this occasion.

The seven days event was sponsored by Odia Literature, language and Culture Department, Odisha and Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, Unique. In the programme Pradosh Pattnaik, Senior journalist and President, PECUC Sisumela Committee, Ranjan Kumar Mohanty, Secretary PECUC, Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director, PECUC and Madhabananda Behura, Senior Journalist were also present.

Ratna Dash, Jyoti Sankar Mohanty, Alpana Das, Upama Mohanty, Priyadarshini Swain, Bamadev Jena, Bishnupriya Mohapatra, Sasmita Sahoo, Satyashiv Rath and Binod Kumar Dash of PECUC facilitated the programme.

Children of the Nrutyashree and Nrutya Prativa Dance Group performed colourful cultural programme on this occasion, which was very entertaining for the audience.
