Bus strike in Odisha from October 20

Bhubaneswar(18/10/2023): The Private Bus Owners' Association has decided to go on strike from October 20.

Treasurer of the Association Barda Acharya Swain said, "The state government had assured us that no LAccMI Yojana bus will ply between panchayats to blocks.

But the scheme was launched by the Chief Minister two days ago." Due to the implementation of the LAccMI scheme, private bus owners will face financial losses.

Therefore, the association has decided to go on a bus strike, he added.
