State Level Workshop on Advancing Elementary Education organised in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (09/06/2023): Ensuring learning outcome, trust building, collaboration, networking, partnership along with integrating technology can bring meaningful changes in advancing elementary education was said by eminent speakers and educationist joining State Level Workshop on Advancing Elementary Education: Innovations and Opportunities organised at YVDSS, Bhubaneswar on 9th June 2023.
This workshop was organised by People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC) in collaboration with AEIN and in cooperation with RTE Forum, Odisha.
Joining the inaugural session as chief guest Manoj Kumar Padhi, Director, SCERT said joyful learning with child friendly environment & proper utilisation of available resources with an innovative approach can be able to create interest among children for education for building a better society.
Sasmita Nanda, Member, OSCPCR emphasised on the role of both parents and teachers to motivate and encourage children towards education.
Ranjan Kumar Mohanty, Secretary PECUC gave the welcome address and shared the purpose of this workshop.
He further said that we have to discuss solutions, innovation and opportunities for strengthening elementary education.
Dr Minakhsi Panda, Chairman, PECUC chaired the inaugural session. Joining this workshop as guest speaker of different sessions Sasmita Mali, Deputy Director, Mo School Abhijan spoke about innovation and collaboration efforts of Mo School Abhijan for giving new direction to elementary education.
Jagadananda, Member Secretary, CYSD said motivated teachers and powerful teacher’s training and partnership in all level is required to bring changes in the education system.
Anil Pradhan, Secretary, Sikhyasandhan and Convener RTE forum, said we need to contextualise education according to the need of different areas.
Rabindra Narayan Behera, Former Director of NIC, Bhubaneswar emphasises on the use of appropriate technology and said children of this generation are born with technology and we need to teach them in their platform.
Dr.Santosh Parida, Educationist said need assessment of children is necessary before teaching them.
Smaranika Pattnaik, DAV Public School, Pokhariput said we need to teach children by using appropriate technology.
Among other Usharani Behera, BGVS, Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director of PECUC also spoke in this workshop along with many senior educationist from different district of Odisha.
In open house discussion participants shared various issue, concerns and also success stories relating to elementary education.
As many as 65 participants including teachers, CSOs, CRCCs, BRCCs from different districts of Odisha participated in this workshop.
