Bhubaneswar(17/03/2023): The Odisha Drivers’ Mahasangh put their strike on hold on Friday.
In a video message, Mahasangh President Prashant Muduli urged all the agitating drivers to return home.
He said, “The people of the state had to suffer due to the strike.
I would like to apologize to the people.
The state government has assured us to consider our demands in three months.
After the Chief Secretary gave us the assurance letter, we were actually confused.
Only after we showed it to the lawyers, we came to know that this letter is enforceable in the court of law.
Therefore, we decided to wait for 90 days.”
The drivers will self immolate en masse in front of Naveen Niwas on the 91st day, if the demands are not met
