Bhubaneswar(17/01/2022): The SLCA organised a five-day orientation program on counseling and its process” for functionaries of 41 “Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Addicts” (IRCA) run and managed by different NGOs of Odisha.
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ &E), National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) supported the programme.
Sudhir Chandra Dash, President Association for Voluntary Action (AVA), spoke about the aim and objective of the programme in the inaugural ceremony.
Khyanika Das, Principal, BJEM-II, School, Bhubaneswar inaugurated the Training programme and deeply discussed about different substances and its ill impacts with the participants.
Counselors, Project Director, Social Workers and Psychologists of IRCA actively participated in the training.
Smrutilekha Dash, Psychiatry Social Worker, Capital Hospital, Madhumita Das, Consultant, UNICEF, Government of Odisha, Nibedita Mohanty, Clinical Psychologist, Biswanath Bose, Intelligence Officer, NCB, Rakesh Mohapatra, Programme Officer, OSACS, Dr.Md.Imran Ali, Social Activist and Freelance Trainer, Dr.
Pritam Bagh, Medical Officer, Sakhigopal Government Hospital, Basanti Acharya, Freelance Trainer joined the programme as resource person and widely discussed about different skills, techniques and process of counseling with substance dependant persons.
Duryodhan Parida, Secretary AVA, joined the in last day of the programme discuss about the effect and significance of the training with participants.
He delivered vote of thanks and distributed participation certificate to all participants.
Satyajit Mohanty, Shaikh Moniruddin, Manas Ranjan Pradhan, Biswaranjan Dash, Chinmayee Patra and Sumitra Sahoo successfully coordinated the programme.
