Webinar on Companies Act, 2013 organised through virtual platform in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(23/07/2020): The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Bhubaneswar Chapter in collaboration with the PG Department of Commerce, R D Women’s University, Bhubaneswar jointly organised a webinar on Companies Act, 2013 on Thursday through virtual platform. The webinar was organised under the guidance & support from Prof.

Padmaja Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, R D Women’s University, Bhubaneswar. CS Priyadarshi Nayak, Chairman, EIRC of the ICSI, Kolkata, CS Prabhat Kumar Nayak, Chairman, CS Ajay Kumar Majhi, Treasurer of the ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter, Dr.S K Jena, Director, the ICSI & CS S N Mishra, Joint Director, the ICSI, New Delhi addressed the webinar on the New Companies Act, 2013, various amendments & regulations, role & duties of the Board of Directors, Job Opportunities for Company Secretaries under the Act and other sections of the Act. Prof.

Sasmita Mohanty, Chairperson, PG Council, Dr.Sahadev Swain, Head of the PG Department of Commerce and Dr.Gouri Prava Samal, Lecture in Commerce had also deliberated during the webinar.

A large number of students of R D Women’s University had attended the webinar.

The dignitaries answered various queries of the students about the Act & career as a Company Secretary during the webinar. .
