Maximum temperature crosses 44 degrees mark for first time in Odisha this year

Bhubaneswar(19/04/2024): Maximum temperature crossed 44 degrees mark for first time in Odisha this year. The maximum temperature increased to 44.3 degrees C in Boudh district which emerged as the hottest place in the state on Friday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Baripada also recorded a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees today. Ten places in the state recorded maximum temperature of 43 degrees or above. Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 41.4 while Cuttack recorded a maximum temperature of 42.7. However, thunderstorm activities are likely to occur over most parts of the state after 48 hours.
Rainfall activities are likely to provide much-needed relief for the people of the state.
